Parent's Code of Conduct Policy

Franklin County Youth Football Parents Code of Conduct Agreement


I. Introduction:

As a parent or guardian of a participant in Franklin County Youth Football, I acknowledge and agree to abide by the following Code of Conduct. This Code of Conduct is designed to promote a positive and respectful environment for all participants, including players, coaches, officials, and fellow parents.


II. General Behavior:

  1. I will encourage good sportsmanship by demonstrating positive support for all players, coaches, and officials at all times.
  2. I will refrain from engaging in any form of disrespectful or inappropriate behavior, including but not limited to verbal abuse, physical altercations, or any behavior that may be deemed detrimental to the well-being of the participants and the organization.


III. Attendance and Punctuality:

  1. I will ensure that my child arrives on time and is prepared for all practices, games, and team events.
  2. If unable to attend a scheduled event, I will communicate promptly with the coach or team representative.


IV. Social Media Policy:

  1. I will use social media responsibly and refrain from posting any negative or disparaging comments about players, coaches, officials, or the organization.
  2. I will refrain from making posts that antagonize, reference, or engage with other teams/officials.  
  3. I will respect the privacy of all individuals associated with Franklin County Youth Football and will not share confidential information or engage in cyberbullying.
  4. Any concerns or issues regarding the team or organization will be addressed directly with the appropriate coach or team representative rather than being aired on social media platforms.


V. Communication:

  1. I will communicate with coaches and team officials in a respectful and constructive manner.
  2. I will seek clarification from coaches or team representatives if I have concerns or questions about team policies, schedules, or any other relevant matters.


VI. Facility and Equipment:

  1. I will respect all facilities and equipment used by Franklin County Youth Football and encourage my child to do the same.
  2. Any damage to facilities or equipment caused by my child will be promptly reported, and I will be responsible for covering the associated costs.


VII. Compliance with Rules and Regulations:

I will ensure that my child and I comply with all rules and regulations set forth by Franklin County Youth Football, including those related to player eligibility, team conduct, and any other guidelines established by the organization.


VIII. Acknowledgment:

I acknowledge that failure to comply with this Parents Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action, including but not limited to suspension or expulsion from Franklin County Youth Football events and activities.


IX. Agreement:

I have read, understood, and agree to abide by the Franklin County Youth Football Parents Code of Conduct, including the Social Media Policy.
